Beginnings
In 2023, the Asian American Ballet Project made their debut in Beginnings. The company dancers performed the classic christening scene from Sleeping Beauty staged by Artistic Director, Elizabeth Mochizuki. Michael Lowe choreographed “Suho and the White Horse" that unveils the dramatic origin story of the Mongolian horse-head fiddle. Junichi Fukuda performed with company dancer Naoko Brown in his Anima/Animus featuring original music by Wen-Ting Wong. The final ballet in the concert was a world premiere by Hyung Ji Yu entitled Unspoken Words.
