Amane Takaishi
A native of Tokyo, Japan, Amane began dancing at the age of four with Mitsuyo Kishibe. She continued her training in the U.K., studying ballet with Desmond Kelly at Elmhurst School of Ballet in association with Birmingham Royal Ballet, followed by the Central School of Ballet under the direction of Sara Matthews. In 2013, Amane received her BA (Honors) in Professional Dance and Performing Studies from the University of Kent. She danced with Eugene Ballet Company, Ballet Tucson, and A&A ballet. She began dancing with City Ballet of Boston in 2019. In her first year, she was featured in soloist roles such as Snow Queen and Rox Riff in the Urban Nutcracker. Amane is excited to be a part of the Asian American Ballet Project.
